Jens Søndergaard: Sol efter storm. 1932

 A special section of the museum is reserved for figurative painting of the inter war-period, and includes many important works of Jens Søndergaard, Oluf Høst, Karl Bovin, Søren Hjorth Nielsen and Erik Hoppe. Especially Søndergaard is splendidly represented by important expressionistic pieces like "Søndag" (Sunday), (1922-28) and "Sol efter storm" (Sun after Storm), 1932.
